Recognition of Excellence – Brisbane Youth Detention Centre, Additional Capacity

Department of Housing and Public Works, Recognition of Excellence awards are “the pinnacle​ of the department’s awards program, reflecting the efforts and talent of our dedicated people and the important work they do.​​”

Brisbane Youth Detention Centre, Additional Capacity was highly commended under the “Be Courageous” category for the design and construction of new facilities within the existing Brisbane Youth Detention Centre.

QBuild and FACTION joined forces to manage the development. Together, the project team put in a phenomenal team effort to adapt and overcome the challenges faced by COVID-19.

Congratulations to the FACTION project team, led by Scott Birgan and David Lansdell, with the fantastic support of Conor O’Sullivan, John O’Sullivan, Rose Fowler, Eva Jouvencon and Rodney Small.
